What do you contribute?

  • In your new role, you will work in engineering for the integration of the chassis into our state-of-the-art high-speed trains.
  • You will be responsible for the design and geometric layout of the mechanical attachment of the chassis, including all interface and free rotation tests. In addition, you will develop vehicle handling concepts for transport, maintenance and accidents, among other things. The design of the electrical and pneumatic lines is also part of this chassis integration task.
  • You will develop weight- and cost-optimized solutions that are to be coordinated with the interface partners, the Systems Engineering and the unit responsible for the actual chassis. Hereby, the aim is to develop solutions to optimize the overall vehicle.
  • Also, you will accompany new designs and solutions during their realization in production and will be available as a contact person from Engineering.
  • You are responsible for the deadline and cost-oriented implementation of tasks / projects, monitoring of results and for the presentation of work results.
  • Furthermore, you will provide technical support to internal and external colleagues.


What do you bring along?

  • You hold a master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • You also have convincing professional experience in engineering in the plant or vehicle business, ideally in rail vehicle construction in the area of chassis or rolling stock transfer/vehicle connecting devices (couplings).
  • You have sound knowledge in the field of mechanical design. This also includes good knowledge in the areas of mechanics and strength design and materials engineering.
  • You are experienced in working with cross-functional cross-site teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have experience in using CAD systems, ideally Creo, you also have SAP skills.
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
