Job Title: Pre-Sales Manager – Siemens Grid Software

Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait

Role Overview

As a Pre-Sales Manager for Siemens Grid Software, you will play a critical role in managing the full lifecycle of bid development—from opportunity assessment to final submission. You will collaborate closely with sales, technical, legal, and finance teams to craft competitive, compliant, and compelling proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Bid Phase

Opportunity Assessment

Evaluate RFPs/tenders and support bid/no-bid decisions.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess technical and commercial feasibility.

Kick-off & Planning

Lead internal kick-off meetings to align all stakeholders.

Define roles, responsibilities, and develop detailed bid plans with timelines and milestones.

Identify necessary resources across departments (technical, legal, finance, etc.).

Bid Development Phase

Content Coordination

Consolidate input from technical, legal, finance, and other departments.

Ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with customer requirements.

Proposal Writing & Editing

Craft executive summaries, value propositions, and other non-technical sections.

Review and enhance the technical and commercial content for clarity and strategic impact.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all submissions meet mandatory compliance and formatting requirements.

Facilitate legal reviews and risk assessments.

Pricing & Costing

Collaborate with sales and finance to develop pricing strategies.

Ensure alignment between pricing, the proposed solution, and commercial terms.

Submission & Post-Bid Phase

Final Review & Submission

Coordinate internal reviews and final approvals.

Manage submission process (digital or physical), ensuring compliance and timely delivery.

Post-Submission Support

Assist in clarifications, presentations, and customer negotiations.

Conduct lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.

Ongoing & Strategic Activities

Process Optimization

Maintain and enhance bid templates, tools, and knowledge bases.

Integrate best practices and feedback from past bids.

Stakeholder Management

Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Serve as the central point of contact throughout the bid lifecycle.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in pre-sales, business development, or proposal management in electrical, automation, or software domains.
  • Deep understanding of Electronic, Energy, and Telecommunication Engineering—experience in these areas is a significant advantage.
  • Well-established network within the MEA (Middle East & Africa) power utility sector.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a strong plus.
  • Familiar with sales and pre-sales tools and processes, such as CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
