Today, we are looking to hire an experienced Power System Modelling & Simulation Expert (PSSE) to join our Team Egypt out of Cairo office.

Key Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of developing and maintaining data model interfaces for Siemens’ core power system simulation tool, PSSE.
• Enhance and optimize existing data model interfaces for User-Defined Models (UDMs) in PSSE, including understanding, interpreting, and converting these models via programming tools to updated versions.
• Design and implement new data model converters to support the integration between PSS®E and external simulation environments or databases.
• Apply knowledge of power system planning, operation, and analysis to align software development with engineering needs and customer applications.

What You Bring

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, specializing in Power Systems or Electrical Power Engineering. Holding a Master’s or Doctoral degree would be a plus.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in Fortran, Python, and at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Java, or C#).
• Possess extensive experience in power system studies using PSS®E, including steady-state and Transient stability analysis and Simulation.
• Knowledge and practical experience in Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) studies using PSCAD is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
