About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!

The Knightdale facility will deliver integrated electrical skid assemblies that combine power distribution and power conversion equipment with protection and automation systems. Electrical skids provide outdoor rated, modular, value-add solutions for key vertical markets to improve delivery reliability and lower total cost of ownership for customers.

We are looking for a Buyer. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC. Relocation cost assistance is available.

Position Overview:

Join Siemens Industry’s Electrification & Automation Business Unit as a Buyer, where you’ll drive material and service procurement for key product lines. You’ll ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality supply to keep production moving—while collaborating across teams and suppliers to solve challenges and improve performance.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Owning supplier relationships and managing supply chain performance
  • Generating and managing purchase orders in SAP
  • Proactively resolving material shortages and delivery risks
  • Driving supplier KPIs and on-time delivery
  • Supporting supplier setup and qualification
  • Ensuring compliance with Siemens procurement tools and guidelines
  • Leading non-conformance resolution with quality and engineering teams
  • Supporting commodity strategy and acting as team backup when needed

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years in procurement or supply chain
  • Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable
  • Self-starter with problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with MV power destribution equipment

The pay range for this position is $53,760 - $92,160 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
