Fire Sprinkler Designer participate in the estimating, tracking, start up and commission of projects, and will be the customer interface for all technical requirements of assigned projects. You will provide expertise and knowledge throughout the system or service project lifecycle on customer sites. Our Commissioning Technician’s technical expertise, project oversight, and customer interaction contribute to efficient project execution, satisfied clients, and optimized long-term performance of systems.
As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will:
- Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD/Revit and hydraulic calculation software.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings and submit plans for AHJ approval.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 12, 13R, 13D, and local building co*des.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and verify water supply adequacy.*
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other trades during design
- Review and interpret construction documents and specifications.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and meet deadlines.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in fire sprinkler design/layout
- NICET level II or above
- NICET Water-Based Systems Layout
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software
- Strong Knowledge of NFPA standards and local codes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work in office and occasionally visit job sites
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience in the installation and / or maintenance of Fire Sprinkler Systems
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to read/understand design and construction documents
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- NFPA Certified Water-Based Systems Professional(CWBSP)

The pay range for this position is $66,259 - $113,587 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
