The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

We are looking for a Industrial Engineering Leader to join our team! This position will be based onsite at our Roebuck, SC manufacturing site.

This role will focus on optimizing production lines, improving processes across all value streams, leading continuous improvement initiatives, capital project leadership, and supporting new product integration—while ensuring alignment with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) priorities.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of industrial engineers and technicians.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Process & Systems Optimization
    • Design and implement strategies to make production lines more efficient and improve flow.
    • Drive process improvements across all value streams to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including kaizen events, value stream mapping, 6S and visual management.
    • Support product and production line transfers to ensure seamless integration.
    • Conduct root cause analyses to address downtime, scrap, and efficiency losses.
  • Capital Projects & Equipment
    • Manage the complete lifecycle of capital projects: scope, budget, planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
    • Define and oversee machine specifications, equipment commissioning, and startup activities.
    • Develop specifications for Low-Cost Automation (LCA) solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Performance & Cost Management
    • Drive measurable cost reduction initiatives aligned with Productivity and Manufacturing Advancement (PUMA) programs.
    • Lead structured cost-savings workshops to identify, prioritize, and execute efficiency opportunities.
    • Monitor, analyze, and improve key KPIs such as OEE, downtime, scrap, labor efficiency, and machine utilization.
    • Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, and maintenance to align engineering efforts with business priorities.
  • Product Development Support
    • Lead engineering readiness for New Product Introductions (NPI) and support engineering changes.
    • Ensure robust processes are in place for smooth production launches.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure process adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
    • Embed best practices in ergonomics and workplace safety within line designs and process improvements.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
  • Proven success in managing CAPEX projects and delivering quantifiable cost savings.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Production line and workstation design
    • Machine specifications and commissioning
    • Root cause analysis and Six Sigma methodologies
    • Development of Low-Cost Automation (LCA) specifications
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
  • Strong command of Lean tools (5S, SMED, VSM, etc.) and Six Sigma practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma.
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Siemens products, systems, or processes.

The pay range for this position is $100,450 - $172,200 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
