Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Gas Turbine Research & Development team as a Computational Software Specialist.  This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development environment.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

Primary responsibility is to design, refactor, and enhance the existing in-house software (CAE) used in advanced simulation & design.

Additionally, this position will work on the development of application interfaces that help in integration with the design process tool chain.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • Master’s degree in IT/CS&E/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace/Computational Engineering with solid understanding of software design and development
  • Minimum 7 years as an independent professional software development experience (preferrable in a software product development setup)
  • High level of proficiency of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and application architecture is a must
  • Strong mathematical background
  • Numerical algorithms and their efficient software implementation
  • Knowledge about gas turbine design process is preferrable
  • Basic understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and structural mechanics.

Additional experience (not essential)

  • Aware about the engineering product design and development part of the overall product lifecycle management .
  • Practical working knowledge of Finite Element Method (FEM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Skills required:

  • Minimum 7-year experience in C#/.NET desktop programming
  • Knowledge of OpenGL/OpenTK is required
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Background in C++, Fortran and Python is added advantage.
