Advanced Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities
This role is for Siemens EDA Tessent family of products, it involves software development in C/C++, applying knowledge of data structures in evolving algorithms around DFT insertion. Role involves working on data-models representing RTL/netlist for design representation, extracting connectivity within design network, doing design editing for DFT insertion. Further, work also involves around adapting data-model and insertion algorithm for low power, understanding on UPF/CPF will be an added advantage. Understanding on lex/yacc software will be added advantage as it remains part of software development. Team is a mix of young and senior folks working together for industry leading Tessent product line.
Required Qualifications:
- We are looking for candidates who are Graduates or Postgraduates (Bachelors/Masters) in EEE, ECE, or Computer Science (CS) from top reputed engineering colleges, with at least 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in software development, experience in EDA will be outstanding.
- We need someone with strong understanding of C/C++ languages, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms—along with excellent programming skills in C/C++ on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms—will be key to the development of our software.
- Shown understanding of digital logic, gate-level design, and hardware fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog) and exposure to UPF/CPF power formats.
- Proven experience in analyzer/compiler development; knowledge of flex/bison is a strong plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work across multifunctional engineering teams.
Good to have:
- Background in EDA toolchains, semiconductor design flows, or power formats (UPF/CPF).
- Practical experience using flex/bison for lexer/parser generation.
- Your good analytical, abstraction and interpersonal skills will help in crafting bigger and balanced solutions for sophisticated systems.
- Your ability to work with multi-functional teams will help in good crafting solutions that resolve actual customer issues.
