Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Sales Manager with technical background in Protection devices to lead and grow our business in Kuwait. In this role, you will manage key internal and external stakeholders, drive order intake aligned with business targets, and secure sustainable BTA margins. You will play a central role in business development, marketing support, customer engagement, and technical proposal development.

You will combine strong commercial acumen with technical understanding, guiding customers throughout the entire sales cycle—from initial engagement and technical consulting to solution integration, presentations, product demonstrations, and new product introductions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional with a strong presence in the Kuwait market and a passion for delivering top-tier solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the assigned product portfolio (protection devices) across all sales channels in Kuwait (Channel Partners, Distributors, Agents, System Integrators, OEM Partners).
  • Plan, drive, and monitor achievement of agreed sales targets, ensuring strong market coverage and penetration.
  • Identify, onboard, and develop new sales channels and partners to strengthen market reach.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies, contributing to both departmental and Business Unit objectives.
  • Lead business planning activities, including market transparency, forecasting, and opportunity identification.
  • Utilize Salesforce for planning, pipeline visibility, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Actively support tendering processes, including RFQ analysis, proposal building, and LoA (Limits of Authority) reviews.
  • Provide early risk assessments and value-based insights to maximize win probability and margin quality.
  • Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities, ensuring the business maintains a competitive advantage.
  • Monitor the Business Unit portfolio and anticipate customer needs to shape market-driven strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Unit to build strong product and solutions knowledge within the sales organization.
  • Support and lead new product launches, campaigns, and promotions, maximizing customer awareness and sales opportunities.
  • Build, manage, and grow long-term relationships with key customers in Kuwait.
  • Organize and lead sales workshops, seminars, technical sessions, and events, strengthening brand presence and engagement.
  • Actively participate in industry and utility organizations to enhance market visibility and influence.
  • Coach and support sales teams with training, best practices, and strategic guidance.
  • Work closely with cross-country teams and Business Units to ensure seamless execution of customer solutions and strategies.

Qualifications & Skills – Digital and Solid:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, account management, or similar roles within the Kuwait market or regional power/industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record in Sales & Marketing, Tendering, Project Management, and Site Execution.
  • Advanced experience and strong technical command of protection relays including configuration, application engineering, testing support, and fault analysis. Ability to guide customers on protection philosophies, setting coordination, and application across feeders, transformers, generators, motors, and busbars.
  • Deep understanding of protection integration within digital substations, including IEC 61850, RTU/HMI systems, redundancy concepts, and coordination with EPCs and utilities.
  • Expertise in fault analysis, relay coordination, FAT/SAT support, and troubleshooting during commissioning and operation stages.
  • Strong ability to analyze customer RFQs, develop high-quality proposals, and clearly understand technical needs.
  • Deep understanding of technical specifications from MEW, KNPC, KOC, JO, or similar major customers in Kuwait.
  • Knowledge of the LoA process and related commercial approval workflows.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate confidently with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with proven experience collaborating across local teams, cross-Business Units, and international stakeholders.
  • Understanding of organizational change dynamics and ability to drive/support change initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of compliance, ethical business conduct, and regulatory requirements.
  • Solid understanding of information security standards and compliant usage of digital tools.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
