Position Overview:

As an experienced Senior Lead Test Engineer in our dynamic Software Testing Team at Siemens in India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our innovative HR applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test strategies and concepts, particularly within the context of HR systems and forward-looking AI features.

Your focus will be on technical leadership and project responsibility within your projects, not on direct personnel management. You will bring your extensive experience as a Software Tester to continuously improve our testing processes and maintain our products at the highest level. Your expertise will help us actively shape the future of HR software at Siemens!

You’ll make a difference by:

• Test Strategy & Conception: You will develop, define, and implement comprehensive test strategies and concepts for sophisticated HR software solutions.
• Process Optimization: You will establish and further develop testing standards and processes, specifically tailored for HR services and agile development environments.
• Tool Expertise: You will actively apply and administer test management tools such as Jira Xray and Confluence to efficiently manage and document testing activities.
• AI & Gen AI Testing: You will design and implement tests for AI functionalities and systems, and contribute your experience in applying Generative AI within the testing process.
• Test Design: You will apply advanced test design techniques according to ISTQB standards, such as Equivalence Class Partitioning, Boundary Value Analysis, and State Transition Testing.
• Functional Testing: You will contribute your many years of practical experience as a functional Software Tester and provide technical guidance.
• Collaboration: You will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Communication: You will maintain transparent and effective communication with global teams and customers to ensure project success.

• Experience: At least 6+ years of relevant professional experience as a Test Manager, ideally in an international environment.
• ISTQB Certification: An ISTQB Certified Test Manager certification is desirable; alternatively, a deep understanding of the fundamental testing process according to ISTQB standards.
• HR Domain Knowledge: Confirmed experience and expertise in testing HR applications and systems.
• AI Testing: Strong background and hands-on experience in testing AI systems and/or applying Generative AI in a testing context. A relevant certification is a plus.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Workday, or SAP in an HR context. HR process knowledge
• Practical Testing Experience: Many years of practical experience as a functional Software Tester.
• Tool Knowledge: Excellent knowledge and practical experience with Jira Xray as a test management tool and Confluence.
• Test Design Techniques: Very good knowledge and application experience of ISTQB test design techniques (e.g., Equivalence Class Partitioning, Boundary Value Analysis).
• Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) to effectively collaborate with global teams and customers.
• Working Style: An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach with a high standard of quality.
