We are currently recruiting a Funding & Data Specialist to join our Siemens Mobility governance team by supporting adherence to apprenticeship governance and compliance with funding rules through effective maintenance, and analysis of apprenticeship data and reporting in line with Education authorities (OFSTED, DfE, Awarding bodies) requirements.
Please note that this role is part time – 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in Poole or Birmingham.
You’ll make a difference by
- Owning and managing all apprenticeship data processes, including the Learner Management System (LMS), Individual Learner Records (ILRs), Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) accounts, and master learner data required by the Department for Education (DfE).
- Ensuring full compliance with funding and regulatory requirements (DfE, Ofsted, GDPR) through expert guidance, accurate data handling, and the submission of fully compliant ILRs that enable grant and levy funding claims.
- Providing specialist support, training and guidance to managers, colleagues, suppliers, and training providers to build strong data management capability and help resolve complex funding or compliance issues.
- Analysing and reporting on apprenticeship and funding data, producing KPI dashboards, Ofsted content, risk analysis, and forward‑looking revenue and funding projections to inform decision‑
- Driving continuous improvement of systems and processes, enhancing LMS functionality, developing efficient workflows, and contributing to wider team projects that improve productivity and governance.
- Optimising funding performance, including levy utilisation and grant recovery across Siemens businesses, and advising on opportunities and risks linked to funding rules.
- Supporting effective governance, including subcontracting processes, the creation of compliant documentation, and preparation for internal and external audits.
Your success will be grounded by
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship funding systems, DfE rules and awarding‑body requirements.
- Proven experience in data integrity, compliance, and effective control processes.
- Excellent data handling and analysis skills with a confident approach to IT systems and LMS platforms.
- Clear and engaging communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
- In‑depth understanding of apprenticeship delivery and funding requirements.
- Eligibility to hold an Enhanced DBS check.
