DI Automation China is a newly established organization comprised with PLM, CRM and SCM functions. The goal of this organization is to drive the growth of Siemens’ industrial automation business in China market.

Working at the strategy department for DI Automation China will allow you to support the top executives at Siemens navigating the challenging market situation and capturing the growth opportunities. Through the journey, you will have the best opportunity to develop your management perspective and strategic thinking.


What will be your responsibility

  • Strategic definition and planning: Support the definition of DI AUT-CN’s strategy in close collaboration with top management, PLM, CRM and SCM organizations, and translate strategic vision into actionable roadmaps and initiatives, to guide business growth
  • Market & trend deep-dives: Conduct in-depth analysis of China’s industrial automation market, identifying emerging trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic planning and identify new growth opportunities
  • M&A and partnership management: Monitor the industrial automation market dynamics to identify potential M&A and partner candidates; Work closely with the business owners to drive the development of M&A business case to secure management approval
  • Cross-functional alignment: Support the fostering of strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution across DI AUT-CN
  • Executive support: Support the information and material preparation for DI AUT-CN management’s participation of key business events (e.g., business update, external speech at trade fair); Support the preparation of response for key information inquiries from Siemens Headquarters

What makes you the qualified candidates

  • Education: Technical bachelor or master’s degree, MBA is a plus
  • Strategic experience: At least 5 years working experience at Strategy or M&A departments of large corporations, working experience at strategic consulting firm or financial advisory firm (M&A related) is a plus
  • Market & industry expertise: Deep understanding of the industrial automation market, competitor and technology
  • Analytical & problem-solving Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities to synthesize complex information, identify strategic implications, and develop robust solutions
  • Business acumen: Excellent business understanding and the ability to align overarching strategy with operational realities and financial objectives.
  • Interpersonal skills: Exceptional ability to build and nurture strong relationships with customers, shareholders, and senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted strategic partner and advisor
  • Professional presentation and moderation skills: Exceptional skill in prepare business presentations and notes with good Aesthetical taste; Capability in preparing and moderating business workshops
  • Multi-language skill: Fluent English skill in business context, German is a plus
