Fire Safety Software Engineering Intern
- Supporting software development activities aligned with strategic business and product goals.
- Analyzing and interpreting software requirements through detailed technical documentation.
- Estimating, planning, and managing time for assigned software development tasks.
- Designing and executing test plans for software components to ensure quality and performance.
- Presenting project progress and results to technical stakeholders.
- Supporting software quality standards and contributing to globally deployed software solutions.
- Undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 10 - 12 week summer internship.
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages, including Python, C++, C#, HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Parsippany, NJ, as this role does not provide relocation support.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Experience with software testing and quality assurance through coursework or prior internships.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
The hourly pay range for this position $28.00 - $34.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
