iemens Electrification & Automation – Factory Quality & EHS Specialist

Role Overview
The Factory Quality & EHS Specialist is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards within the Siemens EA factory. The role ensures product conformity, process compliance, safe operations, effective nonconformance management, and alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain integrated QEHS management system, SOPs, work instructions, and controlled documentation; ensure structured document control and controlled revisions aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
  • Coordinate and support internal/external audits (ISO 9001/45001/14001); ensure timely response, closure of nonconformities/findings, and readiness for regulatory/governmental site visits.
  • Lead/participate in risk assessments across production and supplier activities; verify control measures and update SOPs as needed. Support Management of Change by assessing Quality and EHS risks prior to implementation.
  • Manage product/process nonconformities and EHS findings—containment, documentation, investigation, and closure; conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective/preventive actions with production, engineering, and suppliers.
  • Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections to verify conformance; ensure product identification and traceability; maintain calibration and control of inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
  • Implement and monitor Permit to Work (PTW); support machine safety, LOTO, and safe commissioning; conduct systematic daily inspections across production lines, utilities, and ancillary areas.
  • Oversee transportation safety, verify driver compliance, and monitor vehicle inspection and maintenance programs.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and incoming quality; support supplier qualification and audits; oversee contractor adherence to factory rules, PTW, and EHS requirements; manage supplier/contractor nonconformities and follow‑up actions.
  • Develop, communicate, and test emergency response plans (evacuation, fire, spill, first aid, crisis communications); ensure emergency equipment readiness and coordinate with internal wardens and external services.
  • Deliver Quality and EHS inductions/awareness and job‑specific training; evaluate effectiveness and maintain competence records; collaborate with occupational health professionals on workplace health risks when applicable.
  • Collect, analyze, and report integrated Quality and EHS KPIs using Siemens digital tools to enable transparency and continual improvement.
  • support engineering changes to protect quality and safety outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit required QEHS reports accurately and on time in line with internal and external requirements.
  • Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives (resource efficiency, waste reduction, emissions control) aligned with Siemens objectives.


Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or relevant technical discipline.
Experience
5 years’ experience in Quality Management and EHS in a manufacturing environment, preferably electrical assembly or automation systems.
Technical Skills

  • Strong practical knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Experience in inspections, internal/external audits and nonconformance management.
  • Exposure to ISO Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor training (9001 / 45001 / 14001) or equivalent Quality/EHS qualifications.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent EHS certification is an advantage.
  • Strong digital skills and proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and modern QEHS digital tools.


Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with capability to lead cross‑functional investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and report‑writing ability.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • High digital literacy and adaptability to modern, data‑driven QA/EHS environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, production, and supplier teams.
