We are looking for a highly motivated and capable professional to lead the strategic procurement function for Siemens Smart Infrastructure across the Nordics — including Denmark, Finland‑Baltics, Norway, and Sweden. This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal sourcing and supply of trading goods, finished products, systems, and related services that are integrated into our customer projects and solutions. As Procurement Head for the Nordics, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, sustainable procurement, profitability, and customer satisfaction, while shaping the regional procurement agenda in close collaboration with Sales, Project Management, and Operations.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement team for Siemens Smart Infrastructure across the Nordics, aligning regional sourcing activities with global and business unit strategies.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for trading goods, finished products, systems, and related services used in customer projects and solutions.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including supplier scouting, qualification, competitive bidding, negotiations, contracting, and ongoing performance management.
  • Conduct market and supplier analyses to identify cost‑optimization opportunities, innovative solutions, and emerging risks.
  • Ensure robust, transparent, and compliant sourcing processes that adhere to Siemens procurement guidelines, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Influence sourcing decisions early in tender and project phases by partnering closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
  • Support demand forecasting, procurement planning, and target‑costing to secure timely, reliable, and cost‑effective supply for customer projects.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships that drive performance, innovation, sustainability, and long‑term value creation.
  • Lead complex supplier negotiations to achieve competitive commercial terms, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate procurement and supply‑chain risks, including disruptions, geopolitical exposure, and quality challenges.
  • Drive digitalization, process optimization, and KPI‑driven performance management to increase procurement efficiency and transparency.
  • Generate, document, and report savings initiatives (e.g., CNI), contributing to regional financial performance.
  • Ensure implementation and execution of Siemens’ sustainability and responsible‑sourcing principles across the Nordic supplier base.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the regional procurement team, fostering high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience
  • Strong leadership background in supply chain management or business administration, with a high sense of ownership and intrapreneurship.
  • At least 5+ years of procurement/purchasing experience within a project‑based or solutions‑delivery environment.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing procurement strategies that deliver measurable business impact in a non‑manufacturing context.
  • Deep expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and long‑term supplier relationship management.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain dynamics, cost drivers, and risk management in trading‑related procurement.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (SRM, MM modules), and modern digital SCM tools.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and support decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced, international business environment.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English. Proficiency in a Nordic language is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with AI tools, automation platforms (e.g., Power Automate), and PowerBI is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% is also required.
