We are looking for: Electrical Engineer (MV Secondary Distribution Switchgear ANSI)

You’ll make an impact by:

• Serve as Electrical Engineering point of contact for Siemens MV switchgear product 8DJH36 gear
• Job duties can be broken across 3 categories: “Design & Documentation”, “Collaboration”, “Support and Quality”
• Work independently to create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of Medium Voltage switchgear per design specifications using Engineering Design and Configurators software Typical documents include: Electrical schematics, Panel arrangement, Bill of Material, Nameplate schedule, Three-line drawings & Wiring diagrams
• Collaborate with multiple partners across project lifecycles, including Application Engineers, Project Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers.
• Function as Quality gate prior to release of drawings/documentation to customers and factory. assembly drawings, detailed drawings, manufacturing sketches, layouts, inspection data and bill of materials
• Ownership of the overall work you're doing from an electrical standpoint – including design, drafting, customer and factory work point of view.
• Provide factory support during the manufacturing phase of your projects making sure quality requirements are met. Also, in the process of providing technical support or clarifications to customers during FAT.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of above-mentioned product lines and/or product technology
• 3+ years of proven experience working with the engineering or drafting of electrical power distribution products and systems. Preference given to experience with switchgear.
• Strong working knowledge of standard protection and control technologies used in medium voltage distribution products with proven ability to share this knowledge with others.
• Electrical drafting experience with E-Plan, Engineering Base, ELCAD, and/or AutoCAD Electrical, or similar.
• Ability to multitask and manage large workloads and business demands.
• An ideal candidate is dedicated with attention to detail, a system thinker, and process-driven, and should also embrace a culture of quality.
• Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience
• A degree concentration is in power systems is a plus, as well as a master's degree in electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for MV Switchgear.
• Familiarity with Siemens 8DJH36 product lines, or similar types of switchgear.
• Familiarity with product components, including VCBs, Power Fuses, CPT, CT, VTs, Relays, Controls Switches, Arc Flash Fiber, Relays, and Meters are a plus.
• Experience creating and working with smart CAD blocks.
