Your Role
As a Project Procurement Manager, you are part of a team that drives procurement for international datacenter projects across Europe and Asia, focusing on the procurement of complex technical components such as transformers, UPS Systems and control cabinets and related on-site services.

You'll be a key collaborator with engineering, sales, and project management. Leveraging your experience in technical project procurement, you will take a leading role within the equipment materials domain: shaping strategy, driving process improvements, and supporting colleagues in executing their activities effectively.

You'll join a close-knit, multicultural team of 12 in The Hague, where collaboration, respect, and humor are valued. This role thrives on speed and flexibility in an agile, occasionally chaotic environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for managing the procurement strategy and supply chain readiness for our equipment material domain (transformers, UPS Systems, Control Cabinets, etc.), ensuring factory capacity, lead-time reliability, and cost competitiveness within our supply chain.
  • Functional coordinate with another Project Procurement Manager (Domain Deputy) who is the co-owner of the domain strategy and a (senior) buyer. However, you will not have line manager responsibilities.
  • Accountable and lead the end-to-end procurement process from the material strategy to contract finalization (source2contract).
    • Accountable for all Requests for Quotations and preparation of total cost of ownership comparisons incl. product specific price breakdown
    • Lead complex and high stake RFQ’s, contract negotiations and secure price agreements with various suppliers
    • Lead the supplier selection, prepare and document contract awards
  • Support in claim management and escalation procedures towards suppliers.
  • Build and manage a robust international supplier network, coordinating RFQs and negotiations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supporting strategic initiatives in sustainability and digitalization.
  • As an experienced procurement person, you support and advise the junior team members and identify and lead cost out savings and efficiency gains.

Your success is grounded in 
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience. Project procurement experience in buying technical equipment, with at least 5 years focused on commodity/category management or strategic purchaser and familiarity with international contracts.
  • Strong affinity for technology, a deep understanding of (complex) technical products, and fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • You take early, purposeful action by analyzing situations thoroughly and adapting smoothly in a fast moving, collaborative environment. You also make well founded choices by considering long term impact. In your communication, you guide stakeholders and colleagues effectively through your clear and calm way of speaking.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in procurement/supply chain or a NEVI 2 certification is preferred. A technical degree is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office and Power BI is a plus.
