We’re looking for an Industry Developer – Protection & Substation Automation to join Siemens Electrification & Automation, where we’re shaping the future of reliable, resilient, and intelligent power systems. We deliver advanced automation, protection, and control solutions that ensure the secure and efficient operation of electrical grids, from high-voltage transmission to distribution networks. In this role, you’ll support the growth of our Protection, Substation Automation and MV Components portfolio, working closely with customers and channel partners to drive capability, adoption, and market expansion.

About the role:

Sitting at the intersection of engineering and industry engagement, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence by leading with technical expertise.

You’ll work across utilities, contractors, and partners - supporting both project outcomes and long-term capability uplift across the market, backed by Siemens’ strong global reputation in power systems and grid technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise across protection schemes and substation automation solutions
• Support the growth and adoption of Protection and Substation Automation products across key customers and projects
• Work closely with MV Components and Channel Partners to build technical capability and confidence
• Guide customers on solution selection, system design considerations, and best practice approaches
• Deliver technical training, workshops, and application support to customers and partners
• Contribute to market growth and expansion through strong industry engagement and trusted relationships
• Collaborate internally to align product strategy with real-world application and customer needs

About you:

• Background in power system protection and/or substation automation
• Experience within utilities, OEMs, or power systems consulting environments
• Strong understanding of protection relays, schemes, and MV network applications
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, real-world solutions
• Comfortable working with customers and partners in an advisory, solutions-focused capacity
• A natural collaborator who enjoys sharing knowledge and building capability
