In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is delivering one of the country’s first high-speed rail system. Today, we are recruiting for a Technical Expert to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What Are My Responsibilities?

• Define, validate, and optimize preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Contribute to lifecycle planning, including obsolescence management, technology refresh, and spare parts strategies.
• Review and validate maintenance procedures, technical instructions, and configuration baselines.
• Support asset performance monitoring, reliability growth, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Act as Level-3 / Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex, safety-critical, or non-standard system issues.
• Lead advanced Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and define sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide expert support during service-affecting incidents and degraded operation scenarios, ensuring rapid recovery and service continuity.

• Ensure compliance with applicable railway safety regulations, technical standards, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in risk assessments, safety analyses, audits, and technical reviews.
• Support configuration control, change management, and safe system evolution during operations.

• Lead or support system upgrades, renewals, expansions, and subsystem integration activities.
• Support and witness FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system handover activities.
• Contribute to long-term technical roadmaps, standardization, and digitalization initiatives.

• Act as technical interface towards Employer/Authority, Operator, EPC contractors, and system suppliers.
• Review supplier technical deliverables and support SLA and contractual technical discussions.
• Support audits, inspections, and performance reviews within the assigned technical
• Mentor and coach Service Engineers and senior technical staff.

• Deliver technical training sessions and support competence development for safety-critical roles.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement and standardization.

What Do I Need to Qualify for This Job?

• Expert-level technical knowledge within a railway system domain such as Signalling, Communications, Power Supply, Rolling Stock subsystems, or SCADA.
• Strong understanding of railway operations, maintenance concepts, and safety-critical environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex incidents, perform advanced RCA, and define resilient technical solutions.
• Experience in multidisciplinary railway projects and operational environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• English proficiency required; bilingual Arabic/English preferred.
