You’ll create impact by
- Driving end‑to‑end global IT strategic sourcing across key IT commodities including Infrastructure, Hardware & Managed Communications, Software, IT Consulting, and Application Management Services, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply resilience, compliance, innovation, and sustainability.
- Performing global demand and spend analysis across regions, IT business areas, and delivery models (onshore, nearshore, offshore), while maintaining a consolidated global deal‑book covering sourcing pipeline, renewals, and pivotal initiatives.
- Seeing opportunities for demand consolidation, standardization, and cross‑commodity pooling to leverage scale and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Supporting market and technology intelligence by supervising global IT services and technology markets, analyzing cost drivers, innovation trends, and supply‑side risks including geopolitical, regulatory, talent, and capacity constraints and incorporating regional specifics (Americas, Europe, Asia).
- Conducting supplier analysis and landscape assessments, including maintaining standardized Supplier Dossiers, supporting price benchmarking, and providing access to industrialized services and supplier capabilities.
- Implement the global procurement strategy in close alignment with Global Commodity Management, translating IT and business strategies into effective sourcing, contracting, and supplier engagement models and support pooling of requirements across organization and regions to leverage scale and efficiency.
- Ensuring consistent usage of globally defined preferred and Tier‑1 IT suppliers, while balancing cost, quality, innovation, resilience, and sustainability within the supplier ecosystem.
- Leading and handling global sourcing events and tenders (RFx) delivered by the Global Sourcing Center – India, including defining negotiation strategies, conducting negotiations, supplier evaluations, award recommendations, and contract finalization.
- Execute e‑bidding and e‑auction events where applicable, and handling the full contract lifecycle, including maintaining contract databases, uploading contracts to procurement tools/SharePoint, supervising renewals, extensions, or terminations in line with strategic decisions.
- Ensuring strict alignment to internal procurement policies, maintaining high standards of documentation, visibility, audit readiness, and compliance across procurement tools and processes.
- Defining, tracking, and reporting critical metrics and dashboards related to spend, suppliers, IT business areas, and commodities, enabling effective controlling and decision‑making.
- Supporting supplier development and performance management, including implementation of development measures and participation in external sustainability audits, analyzing audit results and driving required corrective actions.
- Supporting Siemens IT in risk management, claim management, contract management, supplier qualification processes, and catalogue management activities.
You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including
- 8+ years of professional experience in IT procurement or related functions, with strong exposure to global, strategic sourcing environments.
- In‑depth knowledge of the IT provider market, particularly across IT Consulting, Application Management Services, Infrastructure, Hardware, Telecommunications, and Software commodities.
- Good command of procurement processes, sourcing methodologies, contract management, and rapid adaptation to Siemens internal procurement processes and tools.
- Shown ability to balance multiple parallel initiatives, work independently as an Individual Contributor, set priorities, meet deadlines, and take full ownership of work.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial competence, with hands‑on experience in spend analysis, demand forecasting, benchmarking, and important metric reporting.
- Experience working in global, multi‑cultural teams, collaborating closely with participants across Business, Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Global Commodity Management.
- Good communication and participant leadership skills, with the ability to articulate procurement strategies and concepts clearly across regions and cultures.
- A customer focused demeanor, combined with structured execution, governance focus, and attention to compliance and audit readiness.
- An engineering degree (preferred), with an MBA as an added advantage, supporting strong business, financial, and critical thinking.
