Position Title: Solutions Engineering Manager, Data Centers

Location: Peachtree Corners, GA (Remote)

As a Solutions Engineering Manager, you will manage a team of Application Engineers and a support team, which has a significant role in business generation of EP Business Unit. You will be working closely with Siemens Sales, Business Development, the Execution team, and Customers in the hyperscale markets on technical, contractual, and commercial issues and promote overall Siemens business growth.

You will make an impact with the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Application Engineers in developing customer proposals that meet technical requirements and pricing targets.
  • Manage team capacity, resource planning, and staffing to support near- and long-term business needs.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff through performance feedback, growth discussions, and training plans.
  • Ensure lessons learned from project execution are incorporated into future proposals.
  • Track and improve departmental KPIs, including proposal timeliness, quote cycle time, hit rate, utilization, and NCCs.
  • Identify and drive process improvements in collaboration with Business Innovation and Business Excellence teams.
  • Provide technical and commercial support for complex hardware and software solution designs.
  • Oversee change order support post-award and ensure scope changes are captured and recovered.
  • Support Sales and Business Development in customer relationship management and program strategy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, policies, and best practices.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Vision and Strategy: Help develop and communicate a clear vision for solutions offers team that are aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, business development, product, project management office, engineering and quality to align technical solutions and commercial requirements with business objectives.

Team Management:

  • Recruitment: Support the hiring, mentoring, and developing of the AE team staff.
  • Performance: Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Remote Team: Manage remote team members in alternate plant locations.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Executive Reporting: Provide updates to senior management on solutions production initiatives, progress, and challenges.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or management.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing corporate environment.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency with low voltage power distribution products such switchgears/switchboards/busway/panelboards/ power equipment.
  • Proficiency with in-depth manufacturing technology knowledge of any of the products listed above.
  • Travel Required – 30%.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and business acumen
  • Solid financial knowledge to understand and participate in ongoing business planning and support bid reviews for the Offers teams.
  • Excellent collaboration, leadership, and decision-making skills in a team environment, and demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communications skills to effectively and accurately communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of integration within E Houses/Buildings is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes
  • Advanced Degree in Management.

The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
