The Head of Facilities Management and Maintenance Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of an organization's physical and digital infrastructure. This position bridges traditional facilities management with modern maintenance technologies, such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS), to ensure a safe, efficient, and technologically advanced environment.

Core Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute long-term facilities strategies that align with organizational goals, including capital planning and sustainability initiatives.
• Technology Integration: Oversee the implementation and optimization of maintenance technologies, transitioning from reactive to predictive maintenance models.
• Operational Management: Direct all building operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems, ensuring they are maintained to high technical standards.
• Financial Oversight: Manage large-scale facilities budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring fiscal responsibility for operational and capital expenditures.
• Vendor & Project Management: Negotiate and oversee service contracts with external vendors and manage major facility-related projects such as renovations or new construction.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all facilities meet legal, regulatory, and safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, CalOSHA, or local building codes).
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a multi-disciplinary team of Property Managers, facilities staff, technicians, and supervisors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience: Requires 7–10+ years of facilities management experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or equivalent; prefer a Master's technical degree.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of building systems and advanced proficiency in MS365, CMMS, BAS, and other IT-driven facilities tools.
• Leadership Traits: Demonstrates strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to maintain composure during emergencies or high-stress situations. Ability to keep “the big picture” in mind at all times.
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) designations are highly desirable.

The pay range for this position is $124,542 - $161,000 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
