Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented
  • Responsible for leading the engineering, design activities for electrification projects i.e. design deliverable completion, clarification meetings with client, follow up with external consultants on submissions, vendors.
  • Responsible for the design and execution of electrical packages for traction power systems e.g. MV Switchgear, DC Switchgear, DC Trackside equipment, Power Converters, Power / Traction Transformers, Auxiliary systems, CMS, Power SCADA.
  • Perform traction power simulation studies using industrial software like Sidytrac, PSS SINCAL etc.
  • Develop conceptual engineering solutions and propose and implement value‑addition engineering across projects.
  • Provide system engineering support for tenders / bids including technical evaluation of packages,
  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, coordinate design verification, and manage submissions to clients.
  • Manage system interfaces and configuration management with sub-contractors/sub-units of Siemens.
  • Monitor and manage design change requests, implementing action plans for impacted systems through to successful completion.
  • Implement cost and value engineering initiatives to optimize technical solutions while adhering to specifications and project timelines.
  • Work closely with project teams, interfacing teams, and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) teams, including coordination with system‑wide contractors.
  • Provide comprehensive project support during handover activities, including round‑the‑clock support when required.

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the MRT electrification projects with strong foundational knowledge and practical expertise as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Proven experience in AC and DC Electrification systems including control and protection systems, PLCs, and interfaces with AC/DC switchgear and other traction power equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in handling medium to high complexity solution projects.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC traction power systems simulation studies is an added advantage.
  • Well verse in local transportation operators' standards, regulations and legal requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments and diverse customer working terms and conditions.
  • Strong, effective communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels within the business as well as with new and existing customers.
