The One Software Engineering System is a cross-business initiative designed to unify the developer experience for all Siemens software development, with the primary objective of increasing developer productivity. As Head of Product Management for Siemens One Software Engineering System (OSES), you will lead a team of product managers and user experience designers to define the vision, set strategy, and deliver a roadmap that drives developer efficiency, satisfaction, and business results. This strategic role connects product strategy, user experience, engineering leadership, and business objectives to shape how software is built at Siemens and accelerate our transformation into a One Technology Company.
Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary product champion for the One Software Engineering System at the executive level, advocating for resources, alignment, and strategic investment.
• Define and own the product vision and strategy for the One Software Engineering System.
• Lead the product organization for developer productivity tools, platforms, and services, incorporating world-class product management best practices.
• Translate high-level business and engineering objectives to an outcome-focused product roadmap that drives measurable productivity gains.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of product managers and UX designers focused on internal developer experience and productivity.
• Promote a culture focused on collaboration, innovation, results, and continuous improvement.
• Drive discovery and continuous user insights by engaging directly with developers and technical stakeholders to understand pain points, workflows, and opportunities.
• Ground strategic decisions in data, metrics, and developer feedback to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
• Define KPIs to measure developer productivity and direct platform development efforts.
• Communicate developer tooling strategy to the Siemens engineering community, leadership, and stakeholders.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Minimum 10 years in product management, with proven expertise in building and scaling complex software platforms or developer-oriented products.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role, managing product teams and influencing cross-functional engineering and business stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle workflows and technologies.
• Experience building AI-driven products and tools
• Experience contributing to open-source projects and communities in the developer tooling space
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to articulate a compelling product vision and roadmap.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle tools, developer workflows, productivity metrics, and platform engineering.
• Experience influencing large, matrixed organizations with diverse business units and technical environments.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to drive executive alignment and present complex technical and business concepts clearly.

The pay range for this position is 212,400 - 382,400 annually with a target incentive of 25-35 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
