Siemens' Electrical Products business provides solutions for power distribution, generation, and services, encompassing a broad range of low- and medium-voltage products and digital services for industrial, building, and residential applications to support digital transformation and sustainability.

We are looking for an International Business Development Manager. This position will be based in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, USA, but will require frequent travel to Canada.

This person will drive growth of Siemens Smart Infrastructure – Electrical Products (SI‑EP) in Canada by strengthening affiliate market presence, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing strategic plans to increase market share. Partner with affiliate sales teams and key internal collaborators to deliver profitable growth across the UL and ANSI/NEMA product portfolio.

You’ll make a difference with:

Business Development & Strategy

  • Identify, develop, negotiate, and close new business opportunities to grow Siemens EP market position within Canada.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new customer acquisition, product introduction, and account expansion.
  • Develop strategic business plans aligned with EP North America objectives, including affiliate and segment-specific needs.
  • Lead efforts to expand and develop Franchise Partners.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to shape commercial strategy.
  • Improve Wall-to-Wall profit and channel performance across North America.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with customers across all functions and decision-making levels.
  • Act as primary contact to key affiliate leaders, coordinating sales alignment, product support, and strategic direction.
  • Understand and support affiliate market strategies and requirements (Canada-focused).
  • Represent Siemens externally and provide guidance on complex technical and commercial matters.

Technical & Commercial Support

  • Provide quotation support and basic technical consultation for the SI‑EP product portfolio.
  • Coordinate closely with Regional Groups (RGs), EP North America HQ, and UL Segment leaders to support solution development and pricing.
  • Screen and prioritize business opportunities based on financial viability, strategic fit, and risk.

Channel Development

  • Evaluate, optimize, and expand distribution channels to increase reach and performance.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure market-specific product development and localization.
  • Support pricing strategy, marketing programs, and product positioning in alignment with Canadian market dynamics.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience with the following:
    • Progressive experience in sales, marketing, or business development in the electrical products industry.
    • Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, strategic planning, and technical solution sales.
  • 3+ years of experience with the following:
    • Operational knowledge of the Canadian market required.
    • Expertise in Siemens low voltage product portfolios including Busway, Switchgear, Panelboards, Switchboards, Miniature Breakers, MCCBs, AFCIs, Switches, and Controls.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel extensively within region, up to 50% initially.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and partner management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority.
  • Acts as mentor and coach to peers and junior team members.
  • Experience with Low Voltage product management.
  • Fluency in French is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $120,540 - - $206,640 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
