Hello Visionary!
We know that the only way a business thrive is if our people are growing. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to ensure the highest standards of Siemens solutions built on the Niagara ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in both manual and automated testing, with strong hands-on experience in the Tridium Niagara Framework.
You will be responsible for validating robust, reliable, and high-performing applications that power Siemens’ intelligent infrastructure solutions.
What You'll Do:
• Comprehensive Testing: Lead and execute thorough manual testing efforts for complex software solutions developed within the Tridium Niagara Framework, ensuring functionality, performance, and usability.
• Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases and scripts within our existing test automation frameworks, targeting Java, JavaScript, and web-based applications.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, executing them regularly and meticulously analyzing results to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, or flaky tests.
• Defect Management: Accurately document, track, and prioritize defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives), providing valuable insights and feedback to drive product quality from the outset.
• Tool Utilization: Leverage various manual testing tools and, ideally, test management tools (like Jazz, Jira, Confluence) to streamline testing processes and reporting.
What You'll Bring (Required Skills & Experience):
• Proven QA Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Niagara Framework Expert: Significant and proven hands-on experience with the Tridium Niagara Framework is absolutely essential. This includes testing applications built on Niagara, understanding its architecture, and navigating its environment.
• Manual Testing Mastery: Strong, demonstrated experience with manual testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices. You should be adept at creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and executing them meticulously.
• Automation Acumen: Solid experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) and the ability to:
o Create and maintain automated test cases within an existing framework.
o Contribute to framework enhancements (e.g., adding utilities, updating configurations, or extending reusable components).
o Execute automated suites as part of CI/CD pipelines and analyze results to identify defects or flaky tests.
• CI/CD Familiarity: Familiarity with CI/CD setups and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and how testing integrates into these pipelines.
• Agile Proficiency: Experience working effectively within Agile development teams and active participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Bonus Points: Experience with test management tools such as Jazz, Jira, and Confluence is a significant plus.
Soft Skills (The 'Extra Spark' We're Looking For):
Beyond the technical expertise, we highly value team members who possess:
• Exceptional Attention to Detail: A keen eye for identifying subtle issues and ensuring every aspect of a solution meets the highest quality standards.
• Analytical Mindset: The ability to dissect complex problems, understand system interactions, and devise effective testing strategies.
• Proactive Problem-Solving: A natural inclination to anticipate potential issues, investigate root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Clear Communication: The skill to articulate complex technical findings and testing progress clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative Team Player: A genuine desire to work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
• Continuous Improvement: A passion for learning new testing techniques, tools, and technologies, always striving to enhance quality processes.
• Ownership & Accountability: A strong sense of responsibility for the quality of the product and a commitment to delivering excellence. Create a better #TomorrowWithUs!
