In this role you as a Whole Engine Design team manager, oversee and drive all business activities within the mechanical design and product definition domain. Your role centers on delivering customer-centric solutions, fostering innovation, and ensuring global competitiveness. You lead a high-performing team of skilled professionals, guiding, developing, and motivating them to consistently exceed performance expectations and contribute to the organization’s long-term success.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

  • Identify and understand problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information.  Choose the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria, generating, and evaluating alternatives, and make timely decisions.  Take action that is consistent with available facts and constraints and optimize probable consequences.
  • Establish an action plan for self and team members to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines, and leveraging resources.
  • Set high goals for personal and group accomplishment. Use measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals.  Tenaciously work to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • Ph.D., Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Thorough professional know-how in Engineering/R&D based on practical experience in turbomachinery design and development, coupled with a sound theoretical foundation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with GT hot gas path (HGP) components technology; domain knowledge & exposure to mechanical design of turbine HGP components i.e. blades & vanes, rotor, casing
  • Leadership and management experience preferred.
  • Ensure adherence to design guidelines, philosophies and PDP process for all team deliverables with an effort to harmonize design practices among all portfolios under ECC/IP restrictions.
