We are looking for a Plant Manager (Manufacturing Head)

We are currently looking for a Plant Manager (Manufacturing Head), Locomotives at our project site Dahod Factory will report to Project Director / Country Management.

You’ll make a difference by

  • You will help people grow and drive business transformation by building sustainable talent pipelines. You will directly shape the future of our organization, empowering individuals and teams to thrive.
  • Oversee the manufacturing of Locomotive, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees.
  • Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
  • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with Indian Railways, Local Government and Siemens regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
  • Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA health and safety regulations and other governmental regulations.
  • Leads global projects & deliveries innovative solution and shall have extensive experience in developing & implementing Operation Strategies, short-term & long-term goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
  • Proven Leadership skills in developing a team of high performance by engaging, coaching and driving accountability & ownership at all levels.
  • Assists Project Director and Country Management with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
  • Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
  • Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
  • Strategically manages Capex and maintenance of the available infrastructure.
  • Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise ways of improving customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of all departments to ensure standards are met.
  • Keep cross function collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular meetings with High Level Indian Railway officials.
  • Create time bound action items based on internal and external customer complaints on quality.
  • Create a healthy ecosystem with the suppliers ensuring the right product quality being delivered.
  • Enable to provide guidance in innovative solutions in product as well as process to meet cost savings requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Graduate in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. MBA is an added benefit.
  • Should have at least 15 years’ experience in rolling stock domain. Experience in Rolling Stock Production, Manufacturing Strategy and Leading People.
  • Should be proficient in English and Hindi. Fluency in Gujrati and German is added benefit.
  • Strong people and leadership skills
  • Experience in working with Indian Railways Government Officials
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach with problem solving skills.
