Working for Siemens Financial Services Information Technology (SFS IT), you will assume end-to-end responsibility for our self-developed business-critical API platform for financing based on latest cloud native technologies. 

You will develop new features, enhance existing microservices and support a secure operation while ensuring that regulatory and security requirements are met. 

You will achieve this, working hand in hand with our interdisciplinary and international team of IT experts.

You’ll break new ground by:

• Become part of our team as a Java Software Developer, where you can join the development of our microservices, APIs and platform basis to implement business needs and defined IT requirements (e.g., costs, operation & maintenance, IT security, IT strategy).
• A special focus is on the necessary, accelerated digitalization of business processes with the help of innovative technologies.
• Be part of our strategic digitalization program in which we apply leading-edge cloud and API technologies to realize new business models for our in-house and external financing eco-systems.
• Work in an international, agile, self-organizing DevOps team in which you will take end-to-end responsibilities for your innovative solutions.
• Drive application problem analysis, implement fixes and suggest sustainable solutions and improvements.
• Implement functional and non-functional change requests in our microservices supporting the financing business.
• Become familiar with our sophisticated financing products and processes like extended payment terms and asset-based leasing.
• Closely collaborate with our Azure cloud infrastructure team, other developers, and business teams.
• Support the implementation of new business models by leveraging the latest technologies.
• Receive investments in your growth and career development through on- and off-the-job training and mentorships.

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or in a related technical field.
• At least 5 years’ working experience in developing applications using the latest Java based technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others.
• Interpersonal and teamworking skills ability to work independently in a virtual agile team.
• Working experience in our current tech-stack (or similar) is a plus, e.g.
• Java MicroProfile development.
• OpenAPI REST API definition and implementation.
• Hibernate, Liquibase, Postgres.
• Angular, Typescript.
• Microsoft Azure: API Management, Kubernetes, Application Insights, Key Vault.
• GitLab, git, Pipelines, Branching, Merging.
• OAuth, Auth0, Entra, jwt.
• Terraform, Helm, GitOps, Agro CD.
• Experience in the implementation of business applications in the financial services industry is a plus.
