The Sustainable Procurement team in our Corporate Supply chain function are responsible for managing and developing sustainability in the supply chain. 

Our team are involved in Decarbonisation projects, developing our procurement with purpose approach through delivery of social impact, and driving diversity into our supply chain, ensuring inclusive opportunities in our sourcing processes. Constantly exploring opportunities to collaborate and co-create with our supplier partners, you will work with varied stakeholders across our GB and Ireland businesses, raising the profile of sustainable procurement

What Will Your Day Look Like? 

You’ll be based in Manchester, where we encourage office presence to help you learn, connect, and thrive. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a week.  

Your role will include: 

  • Supporting and developing our approach to responsible supply chain governance through use and development of the Ecovadis sustainability rating platform. 
  • Promoting use of social enterprises and diverse organisations across our stakeholder community. 
  • Working on scope 3 reduction opportunities and supporting development of our reporting requirements for Siemens UK entities. 
What We’re Looking For 

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, if you’re curious, motivated, and ready to learn, we want to hear from you. 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in an environmental/sustainability-related discipline. 
  • Knowledge of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is preferable but not essential. 
  • Possess a logical mindset, a thirst for self-learning and research, and a knack for out-of-the-box problem-solving. 
  • Excel at working independently, taking ownership of challenges, and have the potential to drive and lead change. 
  • Thrive in collaborative environments and love brainstorming with others to discover cutting-edge solutions.
