We are looking for a Lead Software Test Engineer
You’ll make a difference by:
- We are looking for a skilled and motivated Test Lead with proven experience in automation, framework design, and test strategy. The candidate should be proficient in JavaScript and Python, possess working knowledge of C++, and have experience in both web and desktop application testing.
- You will lead the testing strategy from design to implementation — ensuring reliability, scalability, and innovation throughout our quality engineering ecosystem.________________________________________
- Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy and Architecture Design
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks across web and desktop products.
- Define the overall test strategy and ensure alignment with business goals and technical architecture.
- Select appropriate tools and technologies for UI, API, performance, and security testing.
- Establish and enforce testing standards, best practices, and governance for automation, data management, and reporting.
- Technical Leadership and Guidance
- Mentor and guide QA engineers to strengthen automation and test engineering skills.
- Conduct code reviews for automation frameworks and test scripts to ensure quality and consistency.
- Act as a subject matter expert, resolving complex issues related to testing, debugging, and system integration.
- DevOps and CI/CD Integration
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Ensure continuous testing and fast feedback loops through automated quality gates.
- Implement automated test reporting and dashboards for real-time visibility into test results.
- Advanced Analysis and Problem Solving
- Analyze and troubleshoot non-automatable scenarios, proposing design or architecture improvements.
- Collaborate with performance engineers to define robust performance and scalability testing strategies.
- Provide architectural guidance for embedding security testing practices into the lifecycle.
Tooling, Technology, and Research
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies to improve test effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead proof-of-concept (POC) efforts for new automation approaches.
- Identify and reduce technical debt within automation infrastructure.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with development, DevOps, product, and architecture teams to align testing with overall delivery goals.
- Clearly communicate testing progress, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Advocate for quality engineering and promote automation excellence across teams.
- Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Scripting: JavaScript (Expert), Python (Expert)
- Programming: C++ (Able to understand and analyze code)
- Testing Tools: Cypress (Expert), Playwright (Good to have)
- Desktop Testing: QT (Preferred)
- API Testing: Postman, SoapUI (Strong in REST API validation)
- CI/CD: Jenkins (Expert), GitLab CI (Expert)
- Database Testing: Good to have
- Version Control: Git (Strong experience)
- Operating Systems: Windows and Linux
- Desired Skills:
- 10–15 years of professional experience in test automation and quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Locust) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset with ownership of automation architecture and quality outcomes.
Desired Skills:
- 10-15 years of experience is required.
