Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research, task analysis, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, user-friendly design solutions.
  • Design and prototype responsive user interfaces for SAP Commerce Cloud modules (SmartEdit, Spartacus, Backoffice).
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure design feasibility within a headless SAP Omni Commerce Connect, API-based architecture.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.
  • Establish reusable UI components and design systems aligned with enterprise brand and platform standards.
  • Support digital personalization and customer experience initiatives (e.g., SAP Customer Data Cloud integrations).
  • Organize and maintain scalable information architecture for commerce workflows.
  • Present design rationale and research findings to stakeholders using structured storytelling and visual communication methods (Design Thinking, Visual Envisioning).
  • Partner with product teams to conduct A/B testing and optimize user experience based on data and performance metrics.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • You look back on several years of professional experience in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing enterprise-level web and mobile projects.
  • You have proven experience in designing within SAP Commerce Cloud environments (SmartEdit, Backoffice, Spartacus) or similar platforms.
  • You possess a deep understanding of responsive, accessible, and component-based design principles.
  • You are proficient in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
  • You are familiar with HTML/CSS and JavaScript (coding not required, but technical fluency is important).
  • You have strong skills in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
  • You are an effective communicator, capable of articulating design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You gained in-depth understanding of accessibility best practices and standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1).

  • You navigate comfortably between both legacy systems and modern digital frameworks.
  • You are a collaborative team player with a proactive and detail-oriented approach and show commitment to delivering accessible, inclusive, and high-impact digital experiences.
  • You are willing to travel internationally for up to 6 weeks per year.
  • You communicate fluently in Englisch, French or German is a plus.

Depending on the experience and qualifications background of the applicant, task enrichment into the area above the general pay scale is possible.
