We are looking for a Principal R&D Engineer to join our team in Paris Office.

Job Description:

• Drive end-to-end delivery of innovative and performant features into our next-generation software flow.
• Inspire a team of engineers to apply deep knowledge of computer science & programming principles into innovative solutions.
• Guide engineers to design, implement, document libraries and frameworks that allow us to effectively scale development on our applications across multiple projects as common services or components, leveraged by multiple products, calibrating scope, time, cost & quality constraints.
• Design and develop robust and scalable software tools
• Develop high-performance optimization software solutions
• Create algorithms and processes to improve the quality of results of our products, ensuring cohesive and efficient data analysis across all platforms.
• Collaborate closely with data, platform, and other engineers to ensure seamless, end-to-end integration of new tools into the broader compilation flow.
• Work closely with a small team to solve problems, review specs, and find good general solutions that improve the overall product
• Educate team members on best practices to develop high quality tools
• Work with QA and Docs to help them create tests and documentation that will improve our solutions
• Work within R&D to make the products improvements necessary for the customer’s success.

Job requirements:

• MS in EE, CE, CS or related areas
• 10+ years of experience focused on the design, development, and deployment of designs optimization algorithms in EDA industry, research, or technological contexts.
• In-depth practical and theoretical expertise in ASIC tools, FPGA tools and STA.
• Strong understanding of Software Engineering principles and practices, as well as proficiency in setting up and maintaining processes.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
• Proficiency with C++ and Python.
• Competitive personality driven to win, ethically, in competitive business situations
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to create and deliver product demos, live via internet or recorded
• Ability to create and deliver product presentations focused on functionality and value differentiation
• Ability to travel internationally.
• Work can be on site or in hybrid mode or remote
