Would you like to actively shape sustainability in shipping with creative solutions as part of a team? Then this position is tailor-made for you. In an agile team, we work together to develop sustainable energy and propulsion concepts that we implement worldwide with our customers. From generators and batteries to fuel cells, the solutions are as diverse as they are innovative. Your role extends from system engineering to commissioning on board the Oil Platforms / Ship or Chemical Complex.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • You deal comprehensively with the automated systems service projects on offshore platforms / Chemical Plants / Utilities to implement interfaces and complete solutions.
  • Hand-on experience with PCS7, WinCC and Step 7, TIA portal.
  • Has performed Automation node / HMI programming for Oil & Gas / Marine / relevant    automation projects using the above tools.
  • Experience with Nordic SOGO library would be added advantage.
  • Experience with Upgrade / Migration of DCS projects is desirable.
  • Completes broad scope of technical tasks including installation/commissioning, maintenance and evaluation of customers’ equipment and systems among others
  • Leads a team of experienced service Engineers and Sr. Engineers
  •  Determines priorities of tasks and actions and schedules measures accordingly.
  • Supports customers remotely and onsite and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.
  • Contributes to or conducts the maintenance and improvement of internal tools, equipment, processes, and data repositories.
  • Contributes to or executes activities for estimation, planning, and review of technical tasks in support of overall project acquisition, negotiation, planning and management.
  • Adheres to relevant processes and regulations.
  • Manage sub-contractors and monitors delivery.
  • Involved in technical design and developments for service offerings.
  • Travelling to Siemens Energy customer sites for longer durations would be part of this role. (Domestic as well as International)

  • You are a graduate in Instrumentation, Electrical or Automation Engineering with consistent track record and relevant experience of 10 to 15 years in Automation Engineering.
  • Good communication skills, fluency in English. (Written and oral)
  • Good Team leader & can communicate with Siemens Energy Global Regional Offices.
