Apply now for the position of QC Chemist where you will be responsible for testing PET Radiopharmaceuticals. The role will ensure that the requirements of Radiopharmaceutical testing, Radiation compliance, Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice and licensing commitments are met.

The role requires shift work (night shifts starting at midnight, day shifts starting at 5 am, 6 am, or 7 am) and occasional weekend work.

The role is based in Nottingham.

 

Your role:

 
  • Perform QC testing of radiopharmaceuticals according to Marketing Authorisations and/or specials license, ensuring that QC activities are performed to the PETNET Quality System in accordance with cGMP.
  • Work to a shift pattern for manufacturing according to customer demands and business needs including weekends.
  • Report monthly customer doses/missed doses/credits to Finance for monthly billing.
  • Daily update of product database and dose delivery spreadsheets.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of consumables are maintained.
  • Shipment of dangerous goods according to ADR regulations.
  • Operation of our cyclotron particle accelerator. 
  • Carry out environmental monitoring according to schedule.
  • Work with other PETNET staff to ensure alignment of operational processes and back up capabilities across all PETNET sites.
  • Assist in the periodic review of PETNET standard operating procedures and writing of new protocols as required.
  • Ensure ongoing continuous professional development to achieve full awareness and technical knowledge of all current legislation and scientific development associated with PET radiopharmaceuticals and their testing.
  • Contribute to site Environmental Health and Safety.
 

Your expertise:

 

Required

  • Relevant science degree
  • Experience in analytical chemistry methods (HPLC, IC, GC, TLC)
 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of cGMP standards
  • Radiopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical testing experience
