Manager - Security & Crisis Management

Siemens Energy India Ltd. (SEIL) Corporate Security function has an opening for Manager – Security & Crisis Management based out of Gurugram.

The CE SEC India handles corporate security topics like project security, travel risk, crisis management, incident investigation, geopolitical & industrial security threat analysis and mitigation, etc. The Manager – Security & Crisis Management would not only participate and facilitate these topics but also receive exposure to a vast multicultural network of security & risk professionals.

In order to actively support the Country Security Officer and the CE SEC function with enabling business operations with resilience-building security measures, we are looking for the following type of candidate -

  • 5-8 years of work experience in the field of Corporate Security encompassing Industrial Security & Risk, International Security, International Relations / Geopolitics, Criminology etc. Proven track record in the field of security and crisis management at middle management level.
  • Academic background should ideally be in International Relations / Geopolitics, Political Science, Sociology, Conflict Studies, South Asia Studies etc. however we are open to other academic backgrounds as well. Corporate Security related certification will be added advantage.
  • Excellent command over English language and at least two local Indian languages. Strong managerial & interpersonal skills; self-motivated, able to achieve goals with minimum supervision. High integrity, leadership traits and relevant professional experience in Corporate Security is a must.
  • Ability to communicate and liaise with external parties like embassies, law enforcement officials etc.
  • Keen interest in analysis of geopolitical and socioeconomic threats, how they can impact business and supporting the organization minimizing risk. Experience with investigation and incident analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to handle incident and crisis response involving company business travelers & project sites etc.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to support stakeholders in factories, project management, business and other corporate departments.
  • Strong analytical skills along with comfort in data analytics (MS Excel / Power BI etc.) and MS Office in general.
  • Proficient in preparing well thought-out, pragmatic and useful reports and presentations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility in handling multiple and diverse responsibilities.

Responsibilities of the Role: 

  • Provide operational support to Country Security Head to respond to requirements for project security which includes but is not limited to pre-bid security assessments, site security concepts, incident response & crisis preparedness plan, and the reporting and closure of incidents.
  • Travel to remote/ critical project sites on a requirement basis for assessments and to deliver on-ground support. Conduct a comprehensive security audit of facilities, hotels and transportation service providers to ensure compliance with established security standards and mandate the implementation of required security measures.
  • Single point of contact for security support required by all international and domestic travelers. Ensure compliance with travel security guidelines.
  • Design and impart the training to business representatives and stakeholders.
  • Support businesses in designing and implementing security technologies.
  • Ensure implementation of all company security guidelines.
  • Track on-going and emerging security threats and provide advice to mitigate security risks.
  • Monitor reports / advisories from security / law enforcement agencies / security risk consultancies and provide advice to business and project teams.
  • Support the Country Security Head in coordinating with company leadership in the event of emergencies / crises.
  • Maintain close contact with headquarter teams and local security contacts to monitor and track on-going and emerging security threats; and accordingly provide security advice.
  • Support Country Security Head in implementing Executive Protection during senior global delegates’ visits in India; and protection to Senior Management as per risk scenarios. Provide security support for any major events of Siemens as per company guidelines
