Then come and join our global team as Software Developer for AI-based Medical Image Analysis (f/m/d).
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You develop, design, and implement customized neural network architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, transformers) to improve medical imaging and interventional therapies.
- You are responsible for the application and optimization of deep learning models specifically for medical image data and their integration into real-time systems.
- You ensure the efficient implementation and performance optimization of these models on GPU and CPU architectures.
- You play a proactive role in software design and system architecture with a focus on AI-supported solutions and ensuring product quality throughout the entire life cycle.
- You work in an agile, interdisciplinary, and international team and in close cooperation with research, product management, innovation, and user experience.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information technology, or a comparable field with a focus on artificial intelligence and image processing. A PhD is desirable.
- You have several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in the field of medical image processing and AI-supported image analysis.
- You have in-depth knowledge of software development for real-time systems and the development of high-quality product code in C++.
- You have proven experience in Python programming for rapid prototyping.
- You have experience in the design and implementation of neural networks and in working with neural network formats such as ONNX and optimization SDKs such as TensorRT.
- You have knowledge of developing parallel algorithms with CUDA, NVIDIA Nsight, and OpenMP.
- You have experience with MLOps principles and tools for automating, monitoring, and scaling machine learning models in productive, regulated environments.
- Ideally, you have professional experience in regulated healthcare or medical image processing.

- As a team player, you are confident in our agile, international environment. You speak English very well; knowledge of German is an advantage.

- You score points with your strong communication skills - you find it easy to express your point of view and present technical results clearly and vividly.
