Are you only a year away from graduating and looking for an exciting career opportunity with Siemens? Our unique Dual Education program prepares you for future leadership roles in the company. The Siemens Certified Education & Talent Academy (SCETA) program combines theory and practice through work-integrated learning (WIL) for technical and professional students. It offers students a wide range of technical, interpersonal, and business acumen training and places them in roles across Siemens Canada's businesses.

The SCETA program begins with a 3-week paid orientation, followed by two summer work terms starting in May 2026. Once their SCETA terms are complete, proficient students may be hired full-time with Siemens.

  • Term 1: May 4 - August 28, 2026
  • Term 2: May 1 – September 30, 2027
  • Location: Montreal, QC
  • Opportunity to work part-time during the school year based on availability and business requirements

As a Technical Sales Associate Intern, you will be a key member of our Digital Industries sales team. You will help create seamless, efficient, and positive experiences for our customers while supporting the broader sales organization. You’ll engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders, offering solutions grounded in technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. What’s next? A natural next step from this position is a move into Sales, Application Engineering, or Bid Management, and there are many other growth opportunities for entrepreneurial go-getters who want to expand their careers within Siemens.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for inbound calls from customers and colleagues seeking support on Siemens products, services, or solutions.
  • Provide both technical and administrative support to our team of Sales Account Managers.
  • Prepare accurate, timely quotations for automation and drives products, including SAP quotations and detailed proposals that meet customer requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate quotation activities—such as stakeholder kick‑off meetings and managing changes throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Build strong rapport with customers through friendly, clear, and proactive communication.
  • Understand customer needs, identify sales opportunities, and support the creation of solutions that deliver value.
  • Coordinate bid submissions across multiple departments, including sales, plants, distributors, and other business units when required.
  • Stay up to date on product and service updates to ensure customers receive current and accurate information.
  • Leverage Siemens digital tools to guide customers toward more efficient, self‑service digital journeys.
  • Collaborate closely with Application Engineers to understand value‑added offerings and develop more consultative, technically informed customer solutions.

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

Required

  • College or Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical and Automation)
  • Knowledge in Automation and/or Electronics theory
  • Knowledge on Quotation preparation experience with Automation will be an asset
  • Knowledge of Industrial applications will be beneficial
  • Must be able to understand various steps within sales and/or project process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • French speaking (bilingual is a must)
  • Sales, customer service and communication skills;
  • Experience with, or ability to learn, technical and financial estimation tools; 
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships; 
  • Teamwork abilities;
