Field Service Operations Excellence Summer - Fall Co-op (North Carolina State University)
- Supporting a large-scale initiative to transition test forms and service reporting applications to a Salesforce.com native platform (Youreka).
- Assisting with the creation, review, and migration of electrical equipment test and inspection forms to the new platform.
- Collaborating with field service, business excellence, IT, and software vendor teams to support successful implementation.
- Supporting documentation and process alignment for field service operations during the system transition.
- Gaining exposure to Siemens electrical products and field service operations while contributing to operational excellence initiatives.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates must be enrolled with the North Carolina State University co-op program and cannot graduate prior to December 2026.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the Summer and Fall 2026 semesters.
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Exposure to field service operations, business excellence, or process engineering concepts, with an understanding of how service teams support customers and operations.
- Technical familiarity with electrical distribution equipment, including medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, transformers, or related products.
- Experience supporting service reporting, inspection, testing, or documentation processes.
- Comfort working across multiple teams and functions, including engineering, field service, business excellence, IT, or external vendors.
- Ability to learn new tools and skills quickly, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and contribute in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 per hour for first time Interns or $25.50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
