What will you do?
The Finance Segment Manager drives financial transparency, optimizes performance, and supports strategic decisions for the Circuit Protection and Controls (CP&C) segment. This role also oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance monitoring for the Electrical Products business unit, ensuring alignment with objectives and compliance with corporate standards.
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the Performance Controlling function, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to Electrical Products (EP) Management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of controlling processes and tools.
- Business Partnering
- Collaborate with Circuit Protection & Controls (CP&C) Segment Manager to ensure cost transparency and profitability analysis.
- Lead financial strategy for the CP&C segment
- Support decision-making through ad-hoc analysis, presentations, and management reports for budget, strategy, and quarterly reviews.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Manage the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes in collaboration with segment and department managers.
- Ensure forecasts and budgets reflect realistic assumptions and align with strategic objectives.
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Lead month-end and quarterly closing process
- Independently monitor financial performance through analysis of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPIs.
- Prepare variance analyses, identify risks and opportunities, and propose corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SAP, including standard reports use for Business reviews
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to IFRS and internal financial policies.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and internal control reviews, including leading the annual RIC process for EP
- Team Leadership
- Lead a high-performing team of analysts, ensure training and succession planning for key roles
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or professional certifications (CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial controlling, performance management, and strategic planning within a complex organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial models, KPI frameworks, and risk management concepts.
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Office 365, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and lead in a matrix organization.
- Proven track record of driving digital transformation and process improvements.
[Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 100,000.00 CAD - $ 140,000.00 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus ranging from 18% to 25% of base salary, based on Company performance metrics.]
