What you'll be doing

  • Build innovative and performant features into our next-generation software applications. Apply deep knowledge of computer science & programming principles, combined with empirical experience into innovative solutions.
  • Develop, implement, document libraries and frameworks that allow us to effectively scale development on our applications across multiple projects as common services or components, within scope, cost, time & quality constraints.
  • Build quality into agile product lifecycle encompassing requirements, design, code, testing, delivery, support.
  • Write clear maintainable full-stack code across both front-end and back-end layers, adhere/improve/augment existing standards, work in a professional software engineering environment (source control, shortened release cycles, continuous integration, and deployment, etc.).
  • Understand company goals and metrics and align with code objectives.
  • Partner with product owners and UX on what's feasible technically, participate in user requirements translation to technical specifications.
  • Support our products, identify, and fix root causes of production incidents, contribute to troubleshooting and resolution of support issues.
  • Own product quality and work to quickly address production defects.
  • Embed a DevOps mentality within the team.
  • Demonstrate data-driven analysis and pragmatic decision making aligned with business and technology needs. Differentiate between immediate needs vs long term solutions.
  • Challenge yourself and your team to stay current with the latest technology trends.
  • Collaborate in product lifecycle with senior engineers, development managers, product managers, scrum-masters in an agile environment, with scrum implemented at scale globally.

What you need

I. Frontend Expertise (Primary Focus)

  • Modern JavaScript/TypeScript & Vue.js Ecosystem: 2+ years of hands-on experience developing web-based enterprise applications using JavaScript/TypeScript. Demonstrated proficiency with Vue 3 and state management libraries like Pinia. Experience with building scalable frontend architectures, including Micro UIs using Module Federation.
  • UI Implementation & Optimization: Proven ability to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive, and cross-browser compatible code using HTML5, CSS3. Experience with design frameworks like Bootstrap or Material UI is a plus.
  • Component-Based Development: Strong experience in building reusable UI components and front-end libraries for consistency and accelerated development.
  • Frontend Tooling: Familiarity with module bundlers like Vite, Webpack, or Gulp, and package managers like npm/yarn.
  • Browser Debugging Proficiency: Must be familiar with browser debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools or similar, to efficiently diagnose and resolve frontend issues.
  • Asynchronous Programming Understanding: A strong understanding of the nature of asynchronous programming, its common patterns, and effective workarounds in web development.
  • Web Accessibility Knowledge: Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure our applications are inclusive and usable by all.

II. Fullstack & Backend Capabilities

  • ava & Spring Boot Development: 2+ years of experience in backend development, specifically with Java and the Spring Boot framework, including Spring Data.

  • Database Interaction & Optimization: Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), including SQL optimization. Hands-on experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate or JPA. Knowledge of database indexing, transaction management, and ACID properties.
  • Microservices Architecture: 2+ years of experience with REST services, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and microservices principles.

III. Engineering Practices & Mindset

  • Agile Methodologies: 2+ years of experience working effectively within agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • t & Automation: 2+ years of experience with unit testing, mocking frameworks, and test automation frameworks. Experience with Jest/Mocha or similar unit testing frameworks is essential. Experience implementing automated testing platforms.
  • DevOps Mindset & Containerization: Experience in a mature CI/CD SDLC environment, including implementing exception handling, logging, monitoring, performance measurement, and operational metrics. Practical experience with containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Version Control: Proficient with Git/SVN for version control.
  • Core Computer Science Fundamentals: Good understanding of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • AI-Assisted Development: Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and prompt engineering techniques to enhance development productivity and code quality.

IV. Education & Professional Experience

  • Work Experience: 2-3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent practical work experience.

V. Collaboration & Communication

·       Teamwork & Communication: Strong communication, partnership, and teamwork skills are essential for collaborating effectively within a dynamic engineering team.
