What Will Your Day Look Like?
The Sustainability Team at Siemens drive the sustainability strategy for Great Britain and Ireland, across our three impact areas:
- Decarbonisation and Energy Efficiency
- Resource Efficiency and circularity
- People Centricity and Society
This is measured by our global Sustainability framework DEGREE. This drives our activity to ensure we are working within regulatory requirements, customer demands and ensuring Siemens has a positive societal impact through community outreach, future talent empowerment, and knowledge-sharing as a thought leader in this space.
You’ll be based in Manchester, where we encourage office presence to help you learn, connect, and thrive. Hybrid working options may be available depending on the role.
Your role will include:
- Updating and analysing our education portal and coordinating the company-wide volunteering programme across Great Britain and Ireland, including engagement logistics, internal communications, and reporting.
- Working with the Sustainability team on projects and activities that support Siemens’ sustainability mission and framework.
- Contributing to talent programmes, work experience placements, future‑talent initiatives, and associated communication plans.
- Supporting carbon reporting requirements and contributing to sustainability data analysis and insights.
- Planning and delivering sustainability-focused events and educational outreach activities, including scheduling, logistics, and communications to boost employee engagement.
- Managing charitable account activities and stakeholder relationships to build long‑term partnerships with clients, education providers, and community organisations.
- Collaborating with business units, functions, and sites on bespoke sustainability projects.
- Opportunity to explore and pursue sustainability topics and projects of personal interest.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, if you’re curious, motivated, and ready to learn, we want to hear from you.
- Achieved at least 5 GCSE's grade 4 or above including Maths and English Language.
- Achieved or predicted to achieve 3 A‑Levels (or an equivalent Level 3 qualification) at grade C or above in any subjects.
- A strong interest in volunteering, education, and sustainability, including topics such as climate change, biodiversity, and decarbonisation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident engaging with different stakeholders and building up working relationships with a variety of people and levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and embrace equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Creative thinker who can contribute ideas for content and engagement activities.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
