This individual will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality standards for products and processes. In addition, they will provide diverse and complex statistical information for quality improvement by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. Responsible to guide technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. The Quality Engineer will work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of production in the form of kaizen events, production line stand-downs, and training. This position will have primary responsibility for ensuring resolution of quality related concerns regarding internal and supplier nonconformance’s.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Supports production line with continuous improvement initiatives in process control, material cost reduction and capacity enhancement
  • Monitor and report the supplier nonconformance costs and help drive improvement
  • Provide technical support analyzing and/or performing analysis of product characteristics
  • Work with suppliers to resolve or improve quality issues and to implement effective corrective action
  • Ensure on time processing of non-conforming components
  • Analyze supplier performance data including cost of quality
  • Support the documentation of non-conformances and assist with root cause analyses
  • Inspect product materials for potential nonconformances
  • Tracks and records non-conforming returns for root cause and disposition
  • Supports internal customer base with inspection and potential repairs
  • Ensure QMS documentation requirements are effectively implemented
  • Audit our systems based on ISO requirements

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of Quality tools and calibration practices
  • Experience with BOMs, assembly drawings, engineering tolerances and first article processing
  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation
  • Knowledge of quality practices and procedures, including use of metrics and statistical analyses
  • Intermediate level utilization of Microsoft Office products
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on continual and permanent basis without company sponsorships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
  • Additional certification in Quality Assurance/Control
  • Calibration program experience
  • SAP experience
  • Six Sigma
