Position Overview:

We have an immediate opening for a Test Group Lead to oversee a team of Testing Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the execution of automated and manually driven test procedures across multiple units. You will ensure that testing activities are performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

As a Group Lead, you will serve as the primary point of contact between your team, production, and engineering, facilitating issue resolution and driving continuous improvement. This position requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of electrical theory, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation. You should be comfortable guiding team members in the use of testing tools and troubleshooting techniques while maintaining a focus on productivity and quality.

You will play a key role in validating wiring quality, monitoring team performance, and implementing best practices to meet project timelines and customer expectations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Testing Operators to ensure timely and accurate completion of test procedures.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Serve as the primary liaison between testing, production, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Review and validate test results, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain and enforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex electrical and wiring issues, providing technical expertise when required.
• Track progress against project timelines and report status updates to management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of testing tools and equipment.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment focused on continuous improvement.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• High school diploma or equivalent. A technical degree in an electrical or engineering field is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical testing, troubleshooting, or related technical field
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Familiarity with multimeters and high-voltage systems
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience with automated test systems and data logging is a plus
• Experience documenting and describing technical issues in a way that management can digest.

The hourly range for this position in California is $29.30 – $34.47. The rate may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $29.30- $34.47 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
