Strategic Student Program: Strategic Marketing Intern
Strategic Marketing Intern
Campaign Narrative Development (Summer Internship)
Organization: Global Campaign Marketing – Core Marketing
Program: Strategic Student Program (SSP)
Term: Summer (May – August)
Siemens Digital Industries Software is shaping how the world’s most complex products and production systems are designed, built, and operated. Central to this effort is how we tell a clear, differentiated cross-campaign story—one that connects value across the lifecycle and resonates with different buyer audiences.
As a Strategic Marketing Intern, you will work directly with Core Campaign Marketers to support the development of a scalable cross-campaign narrative framework. This framework will help articulate how Siemens’ core campaign connects and build upon one another across the product and production lifecycle, while remaining flexible enough to apply across industries and audiences.
This role is focused on strategic storytelling, research, and narrative structure—not technical solution design. You will help translate existing campaign concepts into a clear, continuous story that explains how value evolves and why different audiences engage at different points.
Key Responsibilities
During this summer internship, you will:
Support Core Campaign Marketers in developing a clear, cohesive cross-campaign narrative that connect Siemens’ core campaigns across the lifecycle.
Research and synthesize internal messaging, campaign materials, and third-party market insights to understand customer priorities, audience needs and buying group perspectives.
Help define the connection points between core campaign narratives, focusing on how value transitions from one stage or solution area to the next.
Contribute to the creation of a repeatable narrative framework that can scale across industries, campaigns, and audience levels.
Assist in documenting narrative logic, key themes, and storytelling principles that support integrated solution campaigns.
Develop structured outputs such as storyline outlines, narrative summaries, internal briefing content, and presentation materials.
Participate in regular working sessions with global marketing stakeholders and incorporate feedback into ongoing refinements.
This internship provides exposure to enterprise-level strategic marketing work, not day-to-day execution tasks.
Organization Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business.
Strong interest in strategic marketing, storytelling, and B2B technology environments.
Ability to understand complex ideas and translate them into clear, audience-appropriate narratives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Structured thinker with solid research and analytical capabilities.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and contributing to framework-level thinking.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), LucidChart and AI technologies a plus.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate with global teams.
Prior exposure to technology, engineering, or industrial markets is helpful but not required.
What You’ll Gain
Hands-on experience working with Strategic Campaign Marketing teams.
Exposure to how enterprise campaign narratives are developed and scaled.
Experience integrating market insight, audience needs, and storytelling into campaign strategy.
Mentorship from senior marketing leaders.
A strong foundation for future roles in strategic marketing, consulting, or business development.
