Project Manager – Building Management Systems (BMS) and Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) for Pharmaceutical Project

The Project Manager (BMS & EMS) oversees the contract, planning, execution, and delivery of complex building management system projects.
This role ensures integration of HVAC, lighting, security, and Environmental Monitoring system into a unified platform, meeting client requirements, regulatory standards, and sustainability goals.

Project Planning & Execution:
  • Lead BMS and EMS projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure system integration and functionality.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and status updates with stakeholders.
Technical Oversight:
  • Review system architecture, control strategies, and integration plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX) and local building codes.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of PLC and RIO system
  • Have experience in pharmaceutical project validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) during testing and commissioning
Team Leadership:
  • Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Mentor junior project managers and engineers.
  • Risk & Quality Management:
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Management:
  • Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and profitability.
  • Approve procurement and subcontractor invoices.
  • Commissioning & Handover:
  • Oversee system testing, commissioning, and client training.
  • Ensure proper documentation and smooth handover to operations/maintenance teams.

Your Defining Qualities...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP and/or IPMA project management certification.
  • 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5-6 years in BMS or building automation.
  • Strong understanding of BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens).
  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified
  • Familiarity with smart building technologies and IoT integration.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with green building certifications (e.g., LEED, BCA Green Mark).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity in building systems.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
