Manager- Application Engineering and Commissioning

Location: Mumbai/ Ahmedabad 

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, engineer, and commission complex motion control systems comprising servo drives and VFDs.

• Design, develop, and commission automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, and vision systems.

• Perform system engineering, application software development, and commissioning of drive systems across multiple industry segments.

• Work in compliance with relevant industry standards across different industry domains.

• Be part of a global community working on trend-setting technologies.

• Execute prestigious national and international projects.

• Mentor application engineers and guide OEM engineers on product and application development as per APC guidelines.

• Collaborate effectively within a matrix organization in an agile manner.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Telecommunication with 13+ years of experience in drive system engineering and commissioning of PLC-based automation systems.

• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering.

• Proven experience in motion control applications with the ability to conceptualize, develop, and commission solutions in an agile, methodical, and optimized manner.

• Expertise in servo drives, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA, and vision systems.

• Experience across industry domains such as Printing, Converting, Packaging, Plastics, Intralogistics, Pharma, Semiconductor, Battery, Textiles, Metal Forming, Wood, Stone, and Glass is desirable.

• In-depth application knowledge including Flexo Printing, Rotogravure Printing, Laminators, Slitters, Injection Molding Machines, Case Packers, Servo Cappers, Form-Fill & Seal (FFS), Flow Wrapping Machines, Blister Packaging and Cartoning Machines, Vial Filling Machines, Tablet Presses, Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Battery Cell Manufacturing, vision applications in F&B and Pharma, and material handling applications such as Palletizers and Robotic systems.

• Knowledge of the Sinumerik NC portfolio will be an added advantage.

• Ability to mentor engineers and work effectively in a matrix organization; quick learner.
