Service and Support Engineer

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future‑Oriented
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service & Support Engineer to join our Customer Service team, based at our Belmont, Western Australia office. In this role, you’ll work across the full service‑delivery lifecycle — including incident management, problem resolution, and root‑cause analysis — ensuring customer KPIs are consistently achieved. You will support customers both remotely and onsite, operate within a 24/7 on‑call roster, and contribute to maintaining the high service standards our customers rely on.
In this role you will:
- Complete technical preventative and reactive service tasks while delivering high‑quality customer support.
- Apply detailed technical knowledge to maintain customer service operational levels.
- Provide 2nd‑level user support both remotely and onsite, including participation in a 24/7 on‑call roster.
- Escalate issues to 3rd‑level support teams and subcontractors to meet service delivery KPIs.
- Perform periodic preventative maintenance and audits at customer sites.
- Document procedures, issue analysis and RCA professionally while contributing to improvement of internal tools, processes and data repositories.
- Support the Sales team as an engineering representative during the pre‑sales phase for customer service offerings.

- Degree/equivalent in Control Systems, Electrical, Software Engineering or IT Systems.
- Experience in technical support roles — ideally within train control systems.
- Exposure to ITIL service‑management frameworks.
- Experience or interest in:
- Unix‑based OS (Solaris, Debian)
- Product lifecycle management and component‑level obsolescence
- Server/workstation hardware configuration
- Virtualised environments
- Willingness to travel outside the Perth metro area.
