The semiconductor vertical industry sales team works with prospects and customers to employ digitalization technologies to improve their productivity and quality while reducing costs. Siemens digital solutions start at ideation and span through performance monitoring of completed products in the field.
Job Profile/Position Overview
Semiconductor Device Sales Manager
- The main objective of this position is to lead a team of sales people offering PLM, MES, design and simulation solutions to both IDM and fabless semiconductor companies.
- To lead orchestrators covering Strategic Named Accounts in the semiconductor industry with regards to digitalization and semiconductor design digital twin.
- The primary accountability of this position is revenue generation that meets the defined semiconductor team target.
- This position is reporting to the Country Manager for the Semiconductor Vertical Industry.
Responsibilities/Tasks
- As part of a Software Sales management team, increase revenue through the direction and management of a small to medium sized team of Sales Account Orchestrators and / or Sales Managers on Semiconductor Device, Strategic Named Accounts and 'key’ Markets through the creation and management of a commercially responsible team strategy to meet the goals of the business and Sales targets.
- Drive the strategic direction for Sales in the USA as well as support Asian regional teams and contribute to the sales pipeline strategy, understanding the Sales contribution requirements. Coordinate key pursuits, actively engaging to review effective Sales execution in line with business guidelines and monitor sales process to close. As appropriate, represent Siemens Digital Industry Software on Customer review boards for key accounts.
- Manage budget & cost control, business planning and mix, pipeline management, contracts management, pricing, monitoring, and reporting. Make personnel decisions such as recruitment, training and development, performance management, etc., in line with relevant regulations and policies for the organization.
- Works under self-management on assignments/pursuits and will determine solutions, methods, and procedures.
- Represent Siemens at customer marketing and analyst conferences.
- May deputize for senior Sales Manager as required, and cover Sales activities in the absence of a junior Sales Manager where relevant.
- Mentors more junior Sales Managers within local Sales organization, providing coaching in the development and delivery of Software Sales business and operations.
- Responsible for generating team revenue at named accounts in the Semiconductor industry. Establishes and maintains customer relationships at the C-level and provides a confident, consultative approach which employs the Challenger selling model.
- Leading/managing industry sales of semiconductor PLM, MES and package design/simulation software are the basis of this position.
- Must be able to inspire orchestrators to create new business using exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to network effectively with senior executives.
- Candidate will need to have an understanding of business operations to define overall financial value of software systems.
- Must be able to lead a large, matrix sales engagement team to solve multiple customer business problems.
- Candidate will work closely with orchestrators, presales, portfoliio development and services organization to position how our customers can benefit from utilization of Siemens solutions, understand process centric challenges then be able to translate this into an ROI business case.
Minimum Requirements
- Candidate will have excellent public speaking, oral and written communication skills.
- 5 years of experience selling Enterprise Software.
- 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing
- Working knowledge in the areas of semiconductor lifecycle management, manufacturing execution systems, package mechanical design and thermal simulation.
- Reside in the Pacific Time Zone
- Ability to travel up to 50%

The pay range for this position is 216,300 - 410,900 annually with a target incentive of 40 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
