Position Overview: 

At Siemens Digital Industries Software, you'll join a globally distributed team at the forefront of marketing innovation. We are looking for two Marketing Data Analyst & Insights Interns to join our Operations and Analytics Team. You’ll have the unique opportunity to transform raw data into strategic intelligence within a dynamic SaaS organization. This internship combines rigorous analytics, strategic communication, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable business impact across our software marketing division.

In addition, you’ll have unparalleled exposure to enterprise-scale marketing analytics, strategic communications, and cross-functional leadership while working on projects that directly influence business strategy while developing skills that top consulting firms and technology companies value most: the ability to transform data into strategic advantage.

Key Responsibilities: 

Analytics & Insights

·        Develop and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports that inform strategic decision-making across marketing

·        Build and deploy web analytics frameworks that directly support go-to-market strategy and objectives

·        Monitor, analyze, and interpret key performance indicators and metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities

·        Synthesize complex datasets from multiple sources to extract actionable business insights that drive marketing effectiveness

·        Translate analytical findings into compelling narratives and strategic recommendations for senior leadership

·        Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover the "why" behind performance trends, moving beyond surface-level metrics to root cause understanding

·        Regularly evaluate division performance, proactively identifying optimization opportunities and quantifying potential impact

Strategic Communication

·        Craft data-driven communications, presentations, and executive reports that distill complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations

·        Design and maintain SharePoint sites that serve as central hubs for knowledge sharing and organizational enablement

·        Facilitate seamless information flow across global teams, ensuring alignment between analytics insights and business strategy

·        Serve as a trusted liaison between technical and business stakeholders, translating between data science and marketing strategy

Project Management

·        Lead high-impact projects and initiatives that align with organizational objectives and drive measurable outcomes

·        Develop comprehensive project frameworks including timelines, milestones, success metrics, and deliverables

·        Orchestrate cross-functional teams and resources to execute complex initiatives on time and within scope

·        Document strategic decisions, capture action items, and maintain accountability for deliverables

·        Provide regular, executive-level project updates that communicate progress, risks, and strategic adjustments

Requirements: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in analytics, data science, statistics, economics, information technology, computer science, or related quantitative field
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization platforms, with strong preference for Microsoft Power BI and Amplitude (equivalent experience in Tableau acceptable)
  • Strong programming foundation with preference for SQL as primary skill and Python as secondary; experience with R or similar languages also acceptable
  • Proven experience with data engineering tasks: merging datasets, handling missing data, data cleansing, and validation
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities with keen attention to detail, pattern recognition skills, and ability to identify anomalies in large, complex datasets
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage competing priorities
  • Self-directed work style with ability to operate independently while thriving in collaborative, multicultural team environments
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for uncovering insights that drive business strategy
  • Track record of academic excellence and leadership in analytical or technical domains
  • Creative problem-solver who seeks challenges and develops innovative solutions

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education. The pay range for this position is 18.00 to 50.00 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
